Where’s Your God Now?

Where’s Your God Now? - Cross at sunset with cloudsBy: Brandon T. Ward

I’m sure everyone is aware by now of the horrific shooting that has taken place at a Connecticut Elementary School. 26 people have been killed including 18 children.

Why does this sort of thing happen some will ask? Others will say, where is your God now? I have never been asked this question, but if I was asked, this is what I would say…

"Where is my God now? We have pushed Him out of our lives. We told Him we do not want Him in our schools. Teaching the bible in school has been banned for years. We told Him we don’t want Him in our work places because the name Jesus Christ might offend someone. We cannot say Christmas party, we have to call it a Holiday party. It’s not Christmas music, it is Holiday music. We told Him we do not want Him in our government by removing the Ten Commandments from courthouses, by inviting other religions to pray before sessions of Congress. We have elected leaders who have no form of Godliness. Who deny God whenever they get the chance.

We asked God to get out of our lives, we told Him we didn't want Him. So why would we be surprised when things like this happen? We did it to ourselves. God has given each one of us "free will." Free will to love the Lord or hate Him. Free will to follow God or Satan, the choice is yours, it's your ship sail it. God is our light, that light we use to guide our lives. When we push that light out of our lives darkness takes its place whether you realize it or not. That is a fact. Looking back just fifty years ago, these things did not happen. Today, they not only happen, they are common! And you ask me where my God is my friend? My God is alive, well, and sitting on His throne."

Comfort yourselves with these words: "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away." - Revelation 21:4
